Applications
Zip-Pak can make any package resealable, but the most common styles are:
- Stand-up/Block-Bottom Pouch
- Pouch has a flat bottom, with gussets
- Zipper located at top of package
- Often used for: cookies, pet foods, confections, and snacks
- Equipment options—produced on Horizontal or Vertical/Form/Fill/Seal or Pre-made Pouch machines
- 3- or 4-Side Seal
- Pouch features full-panel graphics on front and rear
- More available area to promote product, benefits
- No rear fin-seal to split rear panel text messages
- Zipper located on short or long side
- Often used for: produce, confections, rice, popcorn, IQF poultry and frozen vegetables
- Equipment options—can be produced on Horizontal or Vertical/Form/Fill/Seal or Pre-made Pouch machines
- Thermoform
- Package features full-panel graphics on front and back to provide greatest exposure for graphics, logo, and other information
- Can now feature traditional "press to close" ZIP-PAK® resealable packaging, or new ZIP-PAK® SLIDER™ resealable packaging
- Zipper runs along side of package for ease of access to product
- Often used for: deli meat, hot dogs, bacon and sliced or block cheese
- Equipment options—Thermoform/Fill/Seal equipment
- Pillow Pouch
- Package features a ‘fin seal’ down back of package
- Zipper located on long or short side of package
- Can be produced in wide range of sizes
- Often used for: cereal, produce, and salty snacks
- Equipment options—Vertical/Form/Fill/Seal machines or Horizontal Flow-Wrappers
